I have had the pleasure of working closely with Justine (Jus) in her role leading Learning and Development strategy at AstraZeneca and I can confidently recommend her as an outstanding L&D leader and partner.

She has led several high-impact initiatives, including the capability framework, Patient Safety Academy, and the new hire journey and onboarding, while also supporting multiple internal and external training programs. I have personally benefited from these initiatives, and their value has been even more evident across my team, where participation resulted in improved productivity and effectiveness.

More recently, we partnered on a function-wide program that was markedly different from traditional L&D efforts. It required extensive collaboration with senior leaders, execution under tight timelines, and the ability to translate conceptual thinking into operational reality. The program was a major success - considered unprecedented at AstraZeneca - and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, panelists, cross-functional stakeholders, senior leaders and organizers.

Jus is extremely resourceful, creative and hardworking. She is consistently responsive and dependable, and I have never been disappointed by any request made of her. She brings a rare combination of strategic vision and execution excellence, making her a trusted partner and a pleasure to work with.

Deciding to make a radical career change after nearly 17 years in one role was equally exciting and daunting, but Justine’s coaching enabled me to find my new direction and succeed in taking the step up that I was aiming for.

Justine coached me through various exercises, helping to identify my strengths, what I really value in a role and what is important to me in an employer.  Having this clarity meant that I could confidently target roles within organisations that were not only a good fit with my strengths, but that  also aligned with my core values.

Changing career direction after having been so well-established in a role and in an industry can be a roller coaster, so as well as all of the practical career-focused coaching, I particularly valued the strategies that Justine suggested to help me maintain focus when I had those moments of doubt.   

Justine’s authentic, personal approach and wealth of experience in corporate coaching really stood out for me and set her apart from other mentors and coaches I’ve worked with. She took the time to help me truly explore what I was wanting to achieve and why, and really gave me the benefit of her experience, drawing on different coaching styles and approaches depending on what my aims were for each of our sessions.

Whatever challenge I experienced on my journey and whatever my mental state, Justine was able to respond with something useful and relevant, whether it was a strategy, an insightful suggestion about how to reframe my thinking or at times just a reminder of why I’d set out to change direction, all of which helped me stay on track and make the career change I wanted to.  

I can say without hesitation that coaching with Justine was the best investment I could have made in myself and my career.
